2009 PROJECT FOR HARMONIA OPERA COMPANY

May 29, 2009 Harmonia Opera Company will presents the Annual Spring Benefit Concert for Young Talents at the Christ & St. Stephen's Church, 120 West 69th Street, New York with combinations of Musicals and Opera: First Part: the Highlights from the Best Broadway Musicals: Mamma Mia, West Side Story, and Ms. Saigon. Second Part: Famous European Opera Highlights from Puccini, Verdi, Mozart, and Rossini by the famous professional opera singers including the world renowned Metropolitan Opera Soprano Lucine Amara, Richard Malone (performed in Germany for 15 years with major Opera company in Germany), Emiko Iinuma, soprano, performed internationally, and a founder, presient, Artistic and Stage Director of Harmonia Opera Company, only Japanese Opera Company in the United States.

Harmonia Opera will celebrate its 28th Anniversary with American Premiere of "MUMYOU AND AISEN" by renowned Japanese novelist Junichirou Tanizaki, and World Premiere of "Japanese Folk Songs and Dance Medley" arranged by young Japanese composer/pianist Tsubasa Matsuda at prestigious Merkin Concert Hall on Wednesday, November 4, 2009, 8:00 p.m.
