Harmonia Opera Company is honored to have Mr. Se Hwan Park, one of the most talented and excellent musicians whom we have met, as our associate artistic director and associate conductor. He is an extraordinarily talented pianist, vocal accompanist, and conductor who has earned exceptional training in the every field of music at the renowned Music Schools, Universities in Korea as well as in United States. He has displayed his superb talents and skills in performing as an amazing vocal accompanist for music and stage rehearsals of Harmonia Opera Company.


Se Hwan Park, a native of Seoul, Korea, earned his Bachelor of Music degree and Master's degree at the Chung Nam National University. He was selected to perform at the Sejoung Cultural Center and played the Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No.2 with the Chung Nam Orchestra as the first place winner in the Concerto Competition (1994). He performs regularly in solo recitals and as a collaborative pianist. Mr. Park was a pianist for the Mannes Opera department while he was in the Mannes College. In 2005, Mr. Park would graduate from Mannes School of Music as a scholarship student, and his talents were recognized as he was awarded the Peter M. Gross award. He would go on to frequently perform at the school as his musical talents as a singer, composer, writer, and pianist were in high demand. His experience as a performer was not limited to just the tri-state area. Later that year, he was asked to travel with the Astrakahn National Conservatory Orchestra. He has been performing with numerous singers and instrument players in Korea and New York Metropolitan area such as Carnegie Weill recital hall, Symphony Space and Merkin hall. Mr. Park performed Chopin's Piano Concerto No.2 with the Astrakahn National Conservatory Orchestra in Russia(2005) as well. He coached singers and played Cembalo at the OSH Opera company for the "Le Nozze di Figaro" and it was broadcasting at the KBS and he played for the FBI Asian/Pacific American Hertiage Celebration in Newark and New York city. He is currently the music director at the United Korean Church of New York and he is a pianist at the OSH Opera Company, New York Solist Ensemble, an associate artistic director and associate conductor at the Harmonia Opera Inc. and he will be working at the Rutgers State University as a department assistant and DMA course beginning the fall of 2010. Following that experience, Mr. Park would perform at many cultural concerts as well as government sponsored concerts for the FBI and the US Attorney. He has frequently worked with the New York Soloist Ensemble, performing in recitals at Carnegie Weill Recital Hall, Symphony Space, Kaye Hall at Hunter College and other churches and concert halls throughout the tri-state area.
